The Yellow-eye Kole Tang, also known as the Silverspot Bristletooth Tang, is a highly popular and practical surgeonfish prized for its algae-grazing ability and distinctive appearance. It features a warm brown body covered in fine horizontal striping, highlighted by a bright yellow eye and subtle silvery spotting that gives this fish its common name.
Peaceful by tang standards and relatively compact compared to other surgeonfish, the Yellow-eye Kole Tang is an excellent choice for established reef and fish-only systems where algae control and constant activity are desired.
