Strawberry Conch (Conomurex luhuanus)

The Strawberry Sand Conch is is a larger snail that is a good addition to the cleaning crew. In addition to devouring detritus, it also feeds on unwelcome guests such as bristle worms and cyano bacteria. Although it superficially resembles the cone snails, it is not directly related to them and also not poisonous, but entirely harmless.

The Strawberry Sand Conch has excellent sand sifting abilities to clean and aerate the substrate while consuming detritus, they have a voracious appetite; as such, supplemental feeding is required in smaller systems and recommended in even the largest aquarium setups.

Supply pieces of fresh fish and dried seaweed, as well as high quality frozen foods to supplement the diet of the Srawberry Sand Conch.

Like other invertebrates, the Strawberry Sand Conch is sensitive to high levels of nitrate and will not tolerate copper-based medications.
