Regal Damsels (Chrysiptera hemicyanea)

The Regal Damsel — also known as the Azure Damselfish, Azure Demoiselle, or simply Regal Demoiselle — is a vibrant and hardy marine fish that adds colour, motion, and personality to reef and community aquariums. It’s incredibly popular with both beginners and experienced hobbyists due to its striking two‑tone look and easy care. 

Description:

Regal Damsels feature a brilliant electric blue body contrasted with bright yellow on the posterior, anal fin, and tail, making them an eye‑catching addition to any tank. They stay relatively small — typically around 6–8 cm (2.5–3.1 in) adults — and are hardy enough to tolerate a range of conditions. 

Key Features:

• Vibrant electric blue and yellow coloration that stands out in reef or FOWLR systems.  
• Hardy and easy to care for, suitable for beginners and seasoned aquarists alike.  
• Omnivorous diet — accepts quality flake foods, frozen mysis/brine shrimp, pellets, and algae‑based foods.
