Red Coris Wrasse (Coris gaimard)

The Red Coris Wrasse is a bold, fast-growing wrasse best known for its dramatic colour transformation from juvenile to adult. Juveniles display a striking red to orange body with large white and black eye-spots, while adults mature into impressive blue-green and pink tones with a powerful, robust appearance. This makes the Red Coris Wrasse a true centrepiece fish for very large marine aquariums.

Highly active and intelligent, this species spends much of its time cruising the tank and digging through the sand in search of food. Due to its size, strength, and appetite, it is best suited to fish-only systems or very robust mixed tanks.
