The Blue Spot Grouper, also known as the Peacock Hind, Argus Grouper, or simply Blue‑Spotted Grouper, is a beautifully patterned marine predator that makes a dramatic and engaging addition to a large saltwater aquarium. Its body is typically adorned with vivid blue spots on a darker brown or greenish base, creating a stunning contrast that brings reef environments to life.

Description:

This grouper features a robust, muscular build with striking blue spotting across its body that may fade or shift slightly as the fish matures. Juveniles and adults can differ in pattern and colour intensity, but both life stages are eye‑catching. Active but secretive, the Blue Spot Grouper often hides among rockwork and caves until feeding time when it boldly ventures out.
