How Out Of The Blue Marines was born!!

It all started with our tank at home, we, like many of you have a pair of Clown fish! One new years eve we returned home from a meal to discover they had laid a batch of eggs!! We saw this as a challenge! After many failed attempts we finally managed to get a few survivors-a'few' turned into 10,000!! We started to supply most of the shops in the north west with our tank bred Clown fish!! Three years ago we bought a little place with a marine shop in mind!! As hobbyists ourselves we saw a gap in the market for somewhere solely dedicated to marine life-something different, somewhere to go to chat, somewhere hobbyists could share each others knowledge!!

We started to build, with our vision in mind!! Sheets of glass turned into tanks, lengths of pipe turned into a system but then, with working full time and family life something had to give! After a year of planning and hard work we shut the shutter and walked away-there it stayed in the dark for a year!

In August 2018 we had a call 'Out Of The Blue' from a friend of ours who we supplied clown fish to Steven Cahill. He sadly found himself looking for work due to the shop he was previously working at closing down unexpectedly. This woke something up inside of us!! He needed a place for his passion-we needed people with passion.

The shutter came up-The systems were filled-The furniture fitted and the Marine life was added! Like magic in two months we brought our dream back to life! and what better name than

'Out Of The Blue Marines'

Since October last year our original team has grown from 3 to 5 with the addition of Nicky and Jordan. We all have our place at 'Out Of The Blue' and we are looking forward to what the future holds.
